I realized the other day that my mom doesn’t have many portraits of just herself. So, with Mother’s Day fast approaching, May 8th for those who don’t know, I kidnapped my mom for a mini-session the other day.This was really just a gift to myself as I would love a portrait of my mom… as much as she loves receiving pictures of my children. She’s a beautiful woman who deserves to have portraits of herself. She’s already said she’ll be sending it to her mom in France. Honestly, there is nothing better than receiving a portrait of your child.
I hope to take family portraits when my sister comes to Kentucky for Mother’s Day. It has been a long time since my brother, sister and I have had professional pictures taken together. I’d say around 20 years. (Not including my wedding) I think we are well overdue for just some good old family portraits! So, keep an eye out and you may see the photographer go in front of the camera soon! While I’m more comfortable being the photographer, I am very excited about getting family portraits done.
