About Me

I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, aunt, friend, neighbor, cook, maid, handyman, seamstress, crafter, blogger, photographer….

I am just a woman, who loves her two children, husband, and four animals. I live each day for them and my world would crumble apart without them. I lead a very simple life, but it is very fulfilling.

I am an extrovert, a perfectionist, and a self-sacrificing mother.

I am not a neat freak, but clutter bugs me. I do not worry about spills or messes. If it’s cleanable it’s not worth getting upset about. If it breaks, it’s probably fixable…. if not… it’s just a “thing”. You cannot change the past or un-break things… you just deal with it and move on. As my dad says: “Don’t sweat the small stuff, and really, it is all small stuff.” I try to live by that.

I am either in my house or my car 99% of my time… both of which appear messy “lived in”, but I don’t want others to see it that way, so I do a mad cleaning spree before company arrives. A lesson learned from childhood.

I want to make people smile and be happy. I am goofy and make faces… 95% of the time unconsciously. I’m very expressive when talking in person and I use my hands a lot. If I’m typing and make a face in real life, you bet there will be an emoticon for it.

I love seeing the world through the viewfinder of my camera. It’s amazing to me how I can get lost in the moment when I’m behind the camera and, like in the movies, the background noise fades away and I lose all sense of time.
